What you'll learn
Adult basic life support in clinical settings
Apply local resuscitation policies and Resuscitation Council UK guidance to adult BLS in your workplace.Adult CPR and AED use
Perform adult CPR and use an AED competently using clinical‑grade manikins and equipment.Recognition of anaphylaxis
Identify early and late signs of anaphylaxis in adults, including respiratory, circulatory and skin features.Initial management of anaphylaxis
Position casualties safely, call for help promptly and begin immediate first aid measures for suspected anaphylaxis.Adrenaline administration pathways
Understand the use of adrenaline auto‑injectors and prescribed injectable adrenaline within local protocols.Team roles and escalation
Work effectively within the clinical team, escalate appropriately and support monitoring while awaiting advanced care.Documentation and governance
Recognise the importance of accurate documentation, incident reporting and learning after resuscitation or anaphylaxis events.Course outcomes
