What you'll learn
Age‑specific basic life support
Understand the key differences between adult, child and infant BLS and when to apply each algorithm.CPR and AED for all ages
Practise CPR and AED use on adult, child and infant manikins to current Resuscitation Council UK standards.Recognition of anaphylaxis in all age groups
Identify anaphylaxis presentations in adults, children and infants, including subtle early warning signs.Immediate management of anaphylaxis
Position casualties safely, call for help promptly and start appropriate treatment while awaiting advanced support.Adrenaline administration in practice
Understand the use of adrenaline auto‑injectors and other adrenaline routes in line with local policy and competence.Clinical teamwork and escalation
Work effectively with colleagues during resuscitation and anaphylaxis events, following local escalation procedures.Governance, documentation and learning
Support accurate record‑keeping, reporting and reflection after BLS and anaphylaxis incidents.Course outcomes
