What you'll learn
Recognising cardiac arrest
Identify when an adult is unresponsive and not breathing normally, and needs immediate life support.Adult CPR technique
Perform chest compressions and rescue breaths on an adult manikin to current Resuscitation Council UK standards.Safe AED use
Operate an Automated External Defibrillator, attach pads correctly and follow voice prompts safely.Unresponsive but breathing casualties
Place an unresponsive but breathing adult into the recovery position and monitor them until help arrives.Managing the scene
Assess the situation, call 999 promptly and coordinate others to fetch the AED and support the response.Post‑incident considerations
